The National Weather Service Seattle-Tacoma Forecast Office will host its annual Western Washington Media and Emergency Management Workshops to discuss the fall and winter outlook for the Pacific Northwest and possible impacts on local power and utility resources.
Background Information: A panel of officials from Puget Sound Energy, Seattle City Light and Snohomish County Public Utilities District, will be available to address inquiries about local power utility resources for this fall and winter. Other topics for interviews include: new or revised weather service products and services, StormReady and TsunamiReady communities, NOAA Weather Radio and Weather Radio Awareness Month in Washington state, weather Web sites and winter weather and flood preparedness. All media and public are invited to attend.
